Neville Bradley Passes Away

It is with regret that we have to inform you that Neville Bradley 1988 Past President of our  Association has died.  The funeral will take place at Bramcote Crematorium on 27th July at 11.45am.

Neville Bradley joined Bramcote Swimming Club in 1971 when his daughters showed an interest in swimming.  He was never a competitive swimmer and in fact only learned to swim when his daughters took lessons at Bramcote Pool.

From the beginning Neville was a very willing club parent and assisted whenever possible and it was no long before the club found out that his skills leaned towards financial matters and in 1972 he was appointed Treasurer of the club, a position that he held for many a year.

In 1979 he was elected to the Nottinghamshire ASA Executive Committee.   He served on the Finance Sub-Committee and also on the Swimming Leagues Management Committee. In 1975  Neville was appointed  on the County Officials list as a county Timekeeper, Judge, starter and referee and on the District list as a Timekeeper, Judge and starter.

In his professional capacity Neville was responsible for arranging the sponsorship for the 1985 Swim Festival with the Midland Bank.

Within Bramcote Hills SC he was responsible for producing the club championship programmes and awards as well as arranging open meets and exchanges with the twin town.
