Hynd goes for gold in finals

Oliver Hynd closed in on the defence of his SM8 200m Individual Medley title as all six British swimmers progressed from the heats on day three of the Glasgow 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships at Tollcross.

The 20-year old is Paralympic, World and European champion in this event and added the Commonwealth title in this pool 12 months ago.

And Hynd booked lane four for tonight’s final with a controlled heat swim, touching in 2:24.50 to win his heat with American Robert Griswold next best with a 2:27.53 American record
