Sam Hynd kicked started his season, by winning the S8 400m Freestyle Gold Medal at the IPC European Championships in Iceland on Weds 21st October. Sam swam just outside his personal best and own World Record to record 4.27.69, but nearly 8 seconds in front of his nearest challenger.
Sam has a chance to add to his medal collection in the SM8 200m Ind Medley later this weekend.
