European Champions from Notts ASA

Charlotte Henshaw has become European Champion in the SB6 100m Breaststroke, beating the current Paralympic Liz Johnson who took the silver medal, at the IPC European Championships, taking place in Iceland. Her time was just a little slower than her heat swim, but was two seconds inside her best going into the championships.

This is Charlotte’s first senior International Medal, and is a fantastic achievement after finishing 4th in last years Paralympic Games. Charlotte swims in the S8 400m Freestyle today and although not her best event is still looking for a good performance.

Sam Hynd swam a great race in the SB8 100m Breaststroke to finish just outside the medals in 6th place in an excellent time just outside his own British Record – this is his fastest 100m Breast since Beijing. Sam competes today in the 400m Freestyle.
