Quite a few people have been sending in questions regarding the upcoming Summer Gala and if we will be releasing the information for entries soon.
Following the current Government and Swim England guidance, the Nottinghamshire ASA Swimming Committee have been in discussions and forward of any lock-down measures being eased we have decided that in the interests of safety it is only right that this years Summer Gala is to be cancelled.
Swim England have recently released statements suggesting that all licenses for competitions are to be suspended and no new licenses to be issued for the foreseeable during this calendar year.
We echo the comments and fully agree that even if the lock-down measures are eased soon and swimmers are allowed back in the pool, pushing yourself to get back to competition ready so quickly could seriously damage your health and could cause longer term stresses and strains.
We appreciate that a lot of you just want to get going again, but we hope that you appreciate the tough decisions that have to be made and we hope you are all keeping safe and we will see you all back in the pool soon.
