Charlie Humphries proved that last year’s win in the open water was not a one of when he took the gold medal in the 14 year age group in 18:00.50 quickly followed by Rosie Rudin who took an enormous lead in the first lap and continued showing the rest of the girls field how to swim the race coming home in 18:26.30, also swimming in the 14 year girls was Kirsten Gilding coming a creditable 9th in 19:06.50
Aimee Richards swam in the 13year age group in a time of 19:55.30 and in the 15/16 year age group Samuel Pearson finished 18th with a 24:20.00 and Shannon Brown 21st in the girls group with a time of 25:43.00.
