 Nathan Oxford is the Notts County Council Swim Squad Swimmer of the Year for 2003. Nathan, a backstroke specialist has performed consistently well throughout the season, developing into one of Britain's top male backstroke swimmers. He swam the third fastest time in Britain at the World Championships trials to take third place and at the National Senior Championships in July, won his first ever National Senior title in the 200m event. Nathan has constantly broken County Records for both short and long course distances for the backstroke discipline, setting new records for the 50, 100 and 200m events. Nathan is to take a year out from studying in order to fully prepare, the give himself the best chance of selection for next year's Olympic Team. | | |
