The Notts County Council Swimmer of the Year Trophy can only be won once by a swimmer on the County Council Swim Squad and is presented to the swimmer who has made the most improvement and achieved commendable results over the previous 12 months. 2007 Sasha Matthews
Sasha took an individual bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in the 400m Freestyle lowering her personal best time considerably in both the heat and the final. Sasha then helped the Great Britain team to a gold medal as part of the 4x200m Freestyle team. Sasha then returned immediately to the National Championships in Sheffield and took a silver medal in the Junior 200m Freestyle event. Sasha was also a member of our gold-winning 4x200m Freestyle team at the National Championships.
